RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM—AUGUST 3, 2013—Turner Farms and Tommie Turner's Leesa Gone Wild got out-nodded in the photo Saturday afternoon by Kansas Morning in the $54,720 John Deere Ruidoso Downs Challenge on Saturday afternoon at Ruidoso Downs.

The Cody Jensen-ridden Kansas Morning was timed in :17.489 for the 350 yards. A son of FDD Dynasty, Kansas Morning battled with Leesa Gone Wild for the last half of the race before prevailing by a nose. It was one-half length back to third-place runner Devil Wears Prada B.

Ricky Ramariez rode Leesa Gone Wild. The bay miss picked up $10,945 for the effort, pushing her total to $27,279 with a 2-1-0 record in five starts this season.

The G. Blane Wood trainee is the first starter for Heritage Place Futurity(G1) winner First Prize Leesa, by Mr Jess Perry. Wood won the July 21st Rainbow Futurity(G1) with a "sister in blood", Ms First Prize Rose. Both fillies are by Corona Cartel and Ms First Prize Rose is out of First Prize Leesa's Grade 1 winning full sister, First Carolina. Weetona Stanley bred the filly in Oklahoma.

Completing the order finish were Mr High Sheriff, Famous Patriot, Blue Gene Harley and Wiggle Wiggle Wiggle.
