Celebrate 10 Years of Miraculous® – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir at NYC’s Iconic FAO Schwarz Store

New York, N.Y. — From July 21 through Labor Day, fans can come celebrate the 10th anniversary of Miraculous Corp’s globally popular superhero adventure series Miraculous® – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir at New York City’s iconic FAO Schwarz through an exclusive in-store activation. Spanning six seasons and a feature film, and available in the U.S. on Disney Channel, Disney+ and Netflix, Miraculous® follows the adventures of two seemingly typical teens with secret identities, Marinette and Adrien, who magically transform into superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir to save their city of Paris from unexpected supervillains! 

 

The celebration will take place at FAO Schwarz in Rockefeller Center and feature six weeks of interactive in-store activities, bespoke window displays, and a dedicated Miraculous® retail installation offering a hand-picked selection of award-winning toys, books, apparel, roleplay items and more. Visitors of all ages are invited to honor a decade of friendship, empowerment, and superhero adventures enjoyed by fans across 150+ countries.

 

Special In-Store Activations

 

  • Saturday, July 26 (10 AM – 2 PM): Visitors can enjoy a Ladybug mask giveaway (limited to the first 200 guests), meet-and-greet opportunities with characters, and strike a pose at the custom Miraculous® -themed backdrop, perfect for fans looking to capture a share-worthy moment during their visit. Fans are encouraged to come dressed in costume to fully immerse themselves in the Miraculous universe.
  • Saturday, August 2 (10 AM – 2 PM): Fans are invited to a special Miraculous® Chibi-themed experience with Mad Cave Studios author Carrie Harris. Carrie will be onsite to introduce a take-home creative writing booklet she designed for aspiring young writers. Guests can pick up a booklet and have their copy of a Miraculous Chibi graphic novel signed.
  • Saturday, August 16 (10 AM – 11 AM): A charming Parisian morning featuring croissants and pastries served at a café-style setup, along with the popular Miraculous-themed backdrop for capturing magical memories.
  • Saturday, August 23 (10 AM – 2 PM): Illustrators Ryan Jampole & Lex Hobson of Mad Cave Studios will host a book signing, accompanied by a signing table and photo area. 
  • Saturday, September 6 (10AM – 2PM): Brings back the fan-favorite character meet & greet and Miraculous® -themed backdrop, offering one last chance to celebrate the decade-long legacy of Miraculous in-store.

Santa Monica, CA, November 5, 2024 – Miraculous Corp—the joint-venture between Mediawan, Europe’s premier independent production powerhouse, and ZAG, the innovative independent animation studio renowned for crafting original tales and IPs—is hosting a summit in Mexico City, Mexico, on November 6, 2024. The event will unveil ambitious growth plans for the Miraculous™ franchise. The Summit coincides with the appointment of a new director for the region, Mariana Servin, as well as a dynamic line-up of new licensing partners. The announcement was made today by Miraculous Corp’s Angela Cortez, VP, Licensing, Latin America and Canada.

 

Andy Yeatman, CEO of Miraculous Corp USA and Global Operations, will attend the upcoming Mexico Summit. Appointed earlier this year to expand the Miraculous brand’s global presence and influence, Yeatman is steering the company toward exponential growth. At the summit, he will share insights into Miraculous Corp’s latest global content initiatives, including new seasons, spin-off characters, special TV events, digital content, and the much-anticipated second animated feature. He will be joined by the company’s newly appointed Global Head of Consumer Products, Roz Nowicki, who will address the company’s global strategy across consumer products, gaming, promotions, and live events. Attendees will also gain insights about the company’s regional strategy ahead of the brand’s 10th anniversary next year, as well as plans for accelerated expansion in the fashion sector. The summit will culminate in a Miraculous-themed fashion show.

 

“The CG-animated TV series Miraculous – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir has captured the hearts of audiences across Latin America, and with respect to Mexico, we have seen strong content distribution and double-digit growth in our consumer products business over the past three years, laying the foundation for continued achievements throughout the region,” commented Angela Cortez, VP of Licensing for Latin America and Canada. “This growth stems from a comprehensive 360-degree approach that leverages strategic partnerships across content, consumer products, retail, experiential initiatives, and social media, engaging consumers at every possible touchpoint. We see tremendous potential to elevate the brand’s success even further in 2025 and beyond!”   

 

In line with this regional expansion, a new leadership structure has been introduced. Former Paramount executive Mariana Servin has been appointed as Director of Licensing for Mexico and South America, reporting to Cortez. She will work directly with the brand’s licensees across the region with a focus on building the company’s apparel and direct to retail business, and will work with licensing partners across apparel, accessories, back-to-school, stationery, footwear, home, health and beauty, novelties, and food and beverages. As Senior Category Manager of Softlines at Viacom International Media Networks/Paramount for over nine years, managing over 60 licensees, Servin led strategic initiatives to cultivate optimal business partnerships, enhancing retail presence, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders. Prior to Paramount, she served as Finance Manager for the Consumer Products division of Televisa.  

 

Betsabé Luna, Director of Licensing for Mexico, Central America, Ecuador and Colombia, will continue to work with licensing partners across toys, party goods items, costumes, sporting goods, promotions , collaborations, and experiences, as well as retail and trade marketing programs.

 

The Miraculous brand currently touts over 40 licensing partners in Mexico, and has recently signed a new roster of licensing partners with products beginning to rollout at retail in spring 2025, including  Toy Mark, with the debut of a new toy line that complements the line from master toy partner Playmates Toys;  a special accessories collection developed by Maria del Mar Merino Suarez Local Designers  (Mokita) for jewelry and accessories;  Editorial Sigel for novels/publishing; Blackstorm for teen and young adult apparel; Wal-commence for novelties; and SKOPUN for pavilion experiences. Earlier this year, ICEE launched its third series of limited-edition plastic cups featuring original Miraculous Manga designs; and Tropicosmétocos launched a line of personal care items.

 

The new licensees join existing partners, including toys from global master toy partner, Playmates Toys, distributed by Bandai; Planeta for publishing; Panini for sticker albums, and also the distributor for manga from Kodansha; 4E for hair care; Yuyin for footwear; Sunstar’s GUM® Dental Products for personal care (pan region); Fotorama for back-to-school; Carnaval and Avant for kid’s apparel; Granmark for party goods; and Appache’s Flying Wheels for Go Carts.

 

Miraculous is tremendously popular in Mexico. An April 2024 report from Brand Trends International highlights Mexico as the leading country where global survey participants spontaneously rank Miraculous among their top three brands. Additionally, Mexico ranks second only to France in brand awareness among girls aged 3-9, primarily driven by the popularity of the TV series.

 

In Mexico, Miraculous™ – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir is available in Spanish on Disney and Disney+ (Seasons 1 – 5), and Televisa (Seasons 1 – 5). Season 1 is available on YouTube with Season 2 rolling out; and seasons 1 – 4 are available on Netflix as well as the first two TV event specials and Ladybug and Cat Noir: The Movie. Across the content, Miraculous™ can be viewed on Disney Channel and Disney+ (except Brazil), Netflix and YouTube.

Earlier in her career, Nowicki served as EVP of Global Licensing and Retail at 20th Century Fox; and as EVP of Global Consumer Products at 4Kids Entertainment, she drove the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand into becoming one of the top-grossing characters of all time. Nowicki began her career in licensing with The Walt Disney Company.

 

Nowicki continues to be a member of the Board of Advisors of Fabacus, a UK-based data management SaaS company. With an upcoming back-to-school August 2024 launch across North America and Europe, Surprise Drinks, a top-selling beverage company renowned for its innovative “surprise” collectible toy hidden in a capsule attached to the bottle, will be launching a range of Miraculous™ flavored water across both continents at leading supermarkets. And several new Miraculous™ initiatives are in the works across the Middle East and North Africa to launch this summer. In Saudi Arabia, Herfy, one of the largest fast-food chains in the Middle East with more than 380 restaurants is launching a Miraculous™ kids Happy Meal program; Turkey’s İÇİM, who have been bringing high-quality and nutritious products to consumers since 1998, will be soft launching a Miraculous™  line of milk shakes in June with a 360 marketing campaign starting in September; Delice Danone will be launching a juice line in Tunisia; and Les Eaux Minérales d’Oulmès in Morocco will have bottled water promotion. Also, SAI GROUP Kandiz is  launching Miraculous™  frozen ready meals, made with fresh, healthy ingredients. Miraculous franchise signs multiple new deals across the globe

The Miraculous franchise has signed new deals with companies including Netflix and Ravensburger to bring new products to fans worldwide.

Global independent animation studio Zag has signed a roster of new multi-media deals for its multiple-award-winning global franchise, Miraculous.

On 12th March, Netflix added season four of the Zag Heroez Miraculous TV Series, and in July 2023, the blockbuster animated feature Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie debuted in second place on Netflix’s global top 10 for English-language films for the week of July 24-30.

The new Netflix deal coincides with the premiere of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, volume 3, from global publishing partner Kodansha on 19th March. Written by Koma Warita and illustrated by Riku Tsuchida, Kodansha’s earlier volumes are listed by the School Library Journal as ‘Winning Manga for Grades 1-8’.

With an ever-increasing 360-presence on platforms around the world, Zag has signed multiple additional new multi-media partners for this globally popular superhero brand that continues to charm fans who are always on the hunt for new ways to engage with their favourite characters.

Publisher Insight Editions has signed a global deal for the first ever hard-cover Miraculous cookbook to launch in June 2025. Targeted to fans of Miraculous, the cookbook will celebrate recipes inspired by the show and Marinette’s family bakery.

Miraculous will be available for the first time this year on the Yoto Player screen-free audio platform, available in the US, Canada and the UK.

New multi-media deals in Europe include Ravensburger, which, following the successful launch of the Miraculous movie novels last year, will be offering novels and early reading learning books in the German language in summer of 2024.

Ciela Norma, a new publishing partner for the Bulgarian market, is developing a range of activity and colouring books. Italian children’s publisher Pon Pon Edizioni is extending its licences with Zag and will feature arts and crafts activities available in kiosks, newsstands and bookstores. Play Press will continue to produce colouring books and albums for kiosks and newsstands, and Albatross Media continues to publish a full range of Miraculous books from novels, story books and comic books, to activity and novelty books.

Kung Fu Tea, ‘Miraculous’ Announce Themed Drink Collab

America’s largest bubble tea company partners with ZAG Heroez, Miraculous.

Kung Fu Tea has announced a collaboration with the 3D-CGI-animated superhero action-comedy series, “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir,” to launch this month. The partnership will introduce two character-themed drinks, exclusive stickers, a social media sweepstakes and an array of surprises for fans. 

 

“Miraculous” follows the adventures of two seemingly typical teens who magically transform into secret superheroes, Ladybug and Cat Noir, to protect their city of Paris from unexpected villains. Five seasons and three one-hour animated specials are available in the U.S. on Disney Channel and Disney+; Seasons 1 to 3 are also on Netflix. The animated film, “Miraculous: Ladybug and Cat Noir, The Movie,” launched on Netflix in the U.S. in July. 

 

The collaboration features two beverages: Ladybug’s Spots On Lemonade and Cat Noir’s Cocoa Cream Cataclysm. In addition, this partnership will offer exclusive KFT x “Miraculous” stickers with purchase, allowing fans to collect six different designs from the series.
